What is the AI Assistant?
EfalitRDV's AI Health Assistant is a medical guidance tool powered by a large language model (LLM) trained on general medical knowledge. It analyzes your symptoms, suggests a relevant specialty and assesses the urgency level. It is never a substitute for a physician's opinion.
How it works
When you describe your symptoms, your message is sent securely (TLS encryption) to an AI model hosted by a compliant provider. Within seconds the AI returns: one or more recommended specialties, an estimated urgency level (life-threatening, urgent, routine, self-care) and general advice. No diagnosis is issued.
Your health data
Your queries are stored encrypted and linked to your account only if you are logged in. They are used to improve service quality and security (abuse detection). We do not share or sell them to third parties. You may request deletion of your history at any time from your patient dashboard.
Transparency commitment
Every AI response includes an explicit warning. We publish the model version used in our release notes. Our interface code is reviewed by partner physicians and our use cases are audited regularly.
AI limitations
The AI can be wrong. It cannot physically examine a patient, prescribe medication or interpret laboratory results. For children under 3, pregnant women and the elderly, always consult a physician. When in doubt, book an appointment via the platform.
Life-threatening emergencies
The AI is never an emergency service. For intense chest pain, loss of consciousness, hemorrhage, severe breathing difficulty or sudden neurological symptoms, immediately call SAMU at 15 or Fire at 18.
Legal protection of your data
EfalitRDV complies with Senegalese law No. 2008-12 of January 25, 2008 on the protection of personal data, as well as best practices inspired by the European GDPR. Your health data is considered sensitive and benefits from enhanced protection: encryption at rest, logged access, right of access, rectification and deletion.
